What did you think of Davidson's Debut?

Considering that he had never driven the Minardi before Free Practice and didn't have a very comfortable sitting position I don't think he did bad. At least he managed to qualify the Minardi and survived 75% of the race distance. He was still beaten by his teammate and was way to generous when being lapped but this is probably just inexperience coming through. Overall I'm going to rate his debut as good.

Considering all the good things daz pointed out and the fact that his fastest lap was very similar to Webbers, and it was 'just' a Minardi, I would have said Absolutely Brilliant. But I went with Good purely because of his over cautiosness in being lapped.

On the ITV coverage Martin Brundle stated that back in the day, leaders had to fight to lap cars. Whilst I don't agree with that the blue flag rule makes it just a bit too easy.

But then it is very frustrating as the faster car to be stuck behind someone a lap down. I am in favour of the blue flag...

If the leaders are so good then they should have to prove it in trafic to a point.

But the design of the cars doesn't allow that as much as the past. However I think a signal that says F**k off your too slow is a bit much.

But I can't think of any fair medium. I can think of a few that either favour the chased or the chaser but nothing that is fair.

Might teach Ralf Schumacher how to pass.

Haha! Well I think they could get rid of the blue flag, and just trust the backmarker to give a little way. True though, that the faster car can easily pass on a straight. Usually...

B****y hell I would think a Ferrari could pass ANY car without blue flags waving...as for Minardi well they are trying with a low budget, not like the GREEN cars with a huge budget !!!!

Hey why not just pass a rule that if a RED car is behind you, you let him pass !!!!! Ok would solve all this arm wrenching waving of blue flags...

Well said, Ferrari should be able to pass a Minardi without the flags. That is also true that when you compare budgets, Minardi is doing better than Jaguar.
