Fisichella vs Heidfeld

Recommended Posts

That would be kind of cool, for the top and bottom of the grid but the midfield would get cars just slighly better of slighly worse than their own.

What about Jens making it the last championship round to mix it up a bit, make the champion work for it, makes no difference in 2000,01,02. But 1997,98,99 went down to the last round.

About the other 4, I think Salo may edge out Alesi, conparing them to Diniz when they had him as a team-mate.

That is a good point, in that view I would say that Salo edges out Alesi and Diniz. Herbert was Alesi's team mate at Sauber in 1998, and scored only 1 point to Alesi's 9. 1999 saw Alesi score 2 points to Diniz's 3, and all the while Herbert won three races during his career, Alesi only one, Diniz zero, and Salo zero. But they all deserved at least one win, while Salo had it in the bag at Germany 99.

They all spent most of there careers in the low midfield, yet Diniz is the only one who never got a high midfield of better car.

Diniz did run well compared to Hill in 97, you can see that he is not half bad. I think he could do at least a Rubens Barrichello level job at Ferrari.

I think he could also. I was very impressed with Diniz vs Hill, Diniz won the in team qualifing battle at all the 'drivers' circuits.

Diniz is a driver that is good but never was recognized for the potential he had. Barrichello has gotten the chance but not done too much with it, but he has done something.

I think Diniz should have gone over to the States to race in CART, it would have suited him well to race in cars that are all quite even.

RB has done a lot better that Irv did or could have done, had he stayed.

But I think your right, Diniz should have tryed somthing else.

Did you see the finish at the last DTM race at A1-Ring? It was fantastic, Alesi slowed to let his teammate win Barrichello-style, but his teammate had gnoe off at the last corner andtheir main contender Fassler came by and took the victory!

HaHa, I wonder if anyone from Ferrari was watching that, our Ron Dennis as McLaren and Mercedes are all but sister companies.

But what sort of idiot calls team orders when a main rival is so close behind.

Oh no Fassler wasn't close behind at all. By the start of the second to last lap there was a fair gap, but as it was damp it caused problems. Alesi only inherited the lead at the start of the last lap, and then a whole series of events caused Bernd Schneider to lose time and allowed Fassler to win. It was hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it!

Oh but he can't have been too far back at the last corner unless Alesi actually stopped.

PS Jens if you are still here did RB score Fastest laps, if not who.

Rubens set the fastest lap with a low 1:23 time. Alesi was going real slow at the end, I think he slowed to something like 50mph right after the last corner.

Alesi was p**sed, and said he wouldnt obey a team order anymore unless he was sure it would work. Apparently he had doubts on the track already...

I would have loved to have seen that race and especially Alesi's face. I think I would have being rolling on the floor with laughter...
