Zanardi completes his race

Alex Zanardi has completed the 13 remaining laps of that fateful race at the Lausitzring where a severe crash resulted in both his legs having to be amputated. Zanardi drove a specially fitted car with hand controls to complete the 13 laps, and his fastest lap set an average speed of 194.something miles an hour, which would have put him FIFTH on the grid!

Simply amazing... For good reason the newest Wrap has a huge portion covering this one

Amazing commitment for him to put in such a time. And it is an errie symbolism for him to do it, but must be a huge weight from off his shoulders.

Its an amazing feat that he completed the race.... just shows how good the medics are nowadays, and how commited Alex was to racing
