goosan 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2001 I would like to suggest a more interesting format for Formula One which will make it more interesting to watch and more potential young talented drivers to be on F1. As more and more big cars company are coming into play, more circuits have to be built and more races are to be expected per season. It would be very nice to have 3 drivers on each team. With 2 drivers driving on each races. The 3rd driver will only be featured compulsary for at least 3 or more races per season. This is only feasible if you have more races under one canlendar year, like 20 races per season. With 2 main drivers driving, there would comes a time where you need to rest one of the main driver, introducing the 3rd driver for every opportunity to drive with compulsary 3 or more races. This will heightened the already exciting atmosphere at F1. Making it more really interesting and fun to watch and predict the un-predictable. With this new format, more races can be held per seasons. More tatical planning needs to be in place for the drivers' title and constructor title, and properly a title to the new all comer performance. I really apprecitate the already exciting atmosphere in F1, and I can't help it not to follow every single races. With this format in place, I hope F1 would be more exciting not only for the teams and drivers, but also for the fans all around the world.
TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2001 That's ridiculous - change for changes sake.
jagman 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2001 Howdy I like the idea of having three drivers, but I doubt it would change much. Ferrari would make Barrichello sit out for the three races so Schuey would still race in all races. Also, with Prost in financial trouble, how would smaller teams afford to pay the extra driver? TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2001 They don't pay their drivers anyway - Jean Alesi left in part due to missing installments of his salary, and a few of the others have been pay drivers. They'd probably welcome a 3rd driver with $4 million tucked in his back pocket.
