Well good on Mark for doing this and raising money for charity. AND the Tassie weather could not have been kinder to him, Great sunshine 22 deg temp with a slight breeze and some great countryside to ride through.

I think it is great when public figures use their money to support, or thier fame to raise support for charities. Good on ya Mark!

well I gotta say I was a bit ignorant of where they were heading, but a "WALK" in the Mellaluca forest !!!! that is very very rugged wild wilderness, and the weather down there ( on the southern western tip of Tassie ) is so fickle, I have friends that were strandard there for 3 weeks at Xmas time ( like thats our hottest period ) because of huge snow falls :-)

I wonder if SHUMI would ever do this :-)

Probably not something like that, but is does get involved on charity soccer matches, karting event and does also give a lot of cash to charities.

This is the exact reason why Schumi shouldn't be called anything but a normal human being, who has the heart to give away a good wad of cash and put in a helping hand. He just donated a million dollars to UNESCO, for example.

Yep 3 cheers of the day to Shumi for that donation, but I think it would be like us mere mortals donating loose change from our pockets LOL

Also Bill Gates gives away heaps, maybe thats a conscience thing to make up for the failings of his best selling programmes

Mr. Gates makes more money in a day than many people make in a year, by doing nothing! Interest in banks pays off!

Though $1.000.000 may not be much for Schumi, it is still a heap of money, and even for the rich it is still a heap of money that will go a long way
