Jaguar have confirmed Christian Klien as Mark Webber's teammate for 2004, ending speculation around the matter. It must mean that Klien had serious

well I have not heard of Klien before, but reading a bit about him he sure seems like a very fired up young driver, and maybe is a wise choice for Jag. Time will tell

i think briscoe or courtney should have got the ride...i watched the maccau (spelling) grand prix....and courtney was killing them until he hit the oil....and briscoe had that mistake i admit but he flew back up the feild.

In all honesty I do agree, Briscoe definitely does a great job testing at Toyota and I think that his best bet is to continue with them - it will get him far. Courtney will be in F1 as well, didn't he test a Jaguar a few years ago?

Mark seems positive at his new team mate

Webber, insists that Klien is better than his previous two challengers.

'No mate,' he said, denying the supposed Jaguar priority of cash over talent, 'I really do think he's good.

'He took to the car in the slow and medium-speed corners faster than either Antonio Pizzonia or Justin Wilson. He understands the car.'

Only time will tell how Klien does, but remember also the 'promise' from Antonio Pizzonia. Where did that lead him? I don't think he'll be back in F1 anymore, at least not at the top. Klien will really have to put his head down and show what he can do, it's those first few races that will turn the heads - remember Kimi and Jenson in their respective first seasons.

I think any team mate of Webber will be blown away. Webber is a champion in waiting no question. :!:

Well, yes, but then so they say about Fisichella too. In my opinion, Ralph Firman didn't look too stupid compared to Fisichella in 2003, for example had his rear suspension not failed in Brazil it would indeed have been Firman ahead of Fisi!

That said, I hope Webber and Fisi blow their teammates into the wind next year :)

That was one example and besides another one or two Fisi had the firm upper hand.

Besides that Verstappen was ahead, and going faster than both of them in Brazil and he was in a Minardi.
