Oz GP to be cancelled ?

Paul Stoddart is standing firm on his threat to withdraw support for traction control unless the engine manufacturers deliver on their promise to provide cut price engines for the independent teams... by Friday !!. Rumour has it that 'Judas' Jordan is backing Stoddart on this one.

If the manufacturers dont deliver, and Stoddart carrys out his threat the Oz GP could be be impacted. Although everyone believes the usual 11th hour compromise will emerge, both sides are digging their heals in with hours to go. This is a particular problem as it requires all of Mercedes, Ferrari, Renault, Honda, Toyota as well as Ford to aggree. Normally this group cant agree on what colour the white lines should be never mind how they should price their engines.

Watch this one closely, Stoddart has his teeth in it, and hes on home soil, so hes not going to get blamed if the s**t hits the fan.

As Murray Walker used to say, anything can happen in F1 and it usually does.. Wathing this off track political battle play out is going to be as much funs as the race ... with or without traction control

Cancelled/boycotted GP's are not a new thing to F1 but I hope something is sorted to save the Aussie GP...
