Pérez begins work at McLaren factory

Sergio Pérez made his first public appearance for McLaren on Wednesday. The Mexican arrived at the outfit's Woking factory to meet with engineers and undertake a range of media activities, officially marking his move from Sauber. Pérez, a three-time podium finisher in 2012, was promptly signed by McLaren as a replacement for Lewis Hamilton when the latter confirmed his switch to Mercedes. The 22-year-old, who was met at the McLaren Technology Centre by Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh, will race alongside 2009 World Champion Jenson Button this season.
