BRDC boss wants government help

BRDC President Derek Warwick has urged the British government to help support motorsport as they do other sports. With almost £300m being put into Olympic sport in the run up to the next games in 2016 in Rio, Warwick has called on the government and lottery to help support motor racing in Britain. Not only does Warwick, a former F1 driver, feel money should be spent helping Silverstone retain its place on the grid, but he also wants the government to financially assist young British talent. "With Bernie Ecclestone you can never be sure about anything, but we do have a 17-year contract so are pretty secure for another 14-years," the BRDC President told Sky Sports F1....
