Kubica takes first WRC2 win

Robert Kubica took the first victory of his WRC2 career at the weekend after winning his class at the Acropolis Rally. The ex-Formula One star is driving a Citroen DS3 RRC in WRC2 this year as he continues to work towards a return to the top level of motorsport. He won by 1:29.8s from Yuriy Protasov after dominating the competition in Greece. He led from the opening stage and at one point had a two minute lead before turning down his pace to ensure victory. After finishing sixth on his WRC2 debut in Portugal, Kubica said he was delighted with the result.
