So what's the deal with GP2's fastest lap system? It seems anybody (and I mean anybody) can just pit at any point in the race, if their strategy isn't working too well and they're not likely to get any points, change the car to quali setup, strap some brand spanking new tyres on and go for one all-out ballsy quick lap.

This of course is completely against the spirit of fastest lap, it should be the fastest racing lap (they go out and find a gap in traffic), it is anti-competitive and stupid. The reason I have a problem with this is because there is a point for the fastest lap, so this kind of thing constantly occurring (which it does) could ultimately affect the championship outcome - even if it doesn't, I don't like it one bit.

Anyone agree/disagree? Suggestions?
