  2. Army Vehicles [pics + Film]

Hi all !! I was on Polish Army parade and I made some pics It's always something unusual when tanks, and other army vehicles attacks your city center Today is a "polish army day" (I'm 100% sure, that I made mistake in translation-interpretation ) so we have a small parade near our (Warsaw, Poland) city center. Of course we are not North Korea, Russia or France, so it's not huge and very immpressive parade but I hope, that maybe someone find these pics interesting (I'm too optimistic now ) I made pics of Mi-24 Hind, Mig-29 Fulcrom, F-16, Su-22, Leopard 2, Patria, some Humvee's and others. But I have to warning You, that I'm not best in photography I also made some film. Really poor film ... (Canon A80 and my "clumsy" hands). Sorry form my poor english once again. Some pics. http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw17pi6.jpg http://img118.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw15mv0.jpg http://img112.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw10jx5.jpg http://img112.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw2rj4.jpg http://img112.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw3tq8.jpg http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw5wh5.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gw9ij1.jpg http://img235.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...abucza25vu1.jpg 1)Humvee's - for sure And polish Scorpio-3 http://img259.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza5jk5.jpg http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza1cr5.jpg http://img164.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza6vq0.jpg http://img64.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dz...kabucza7ia3.jpg 2) Patria/Rosomak AMV (Advanced Modular Vehicle) 8x8 and 6x6 military vehicle. http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...skabuczakb1.jpg http://img160.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...abucza15oj3.jpg http://img131.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza4ea8.jpg http://img524.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza3cr2.jpg http://img223.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...abucza27zm6.jpg http://img266.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...abucza29hw3.jpg 3) I don't know what it is :D Maybe You know http://img515.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...kabucza8bx9.jpg http://img47.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dz...abucza11ek0.jpg http://img67.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dz...abucza10ls4.jpg http://img266.imageshack.us/my.php?image=d...abucza28bc4.jpg 4) Dana - ShKH-77 - samohybn

"I wondered if Kubica got Polish support(because he's Polish) or if he was like Webber who doesn't really get much Australian support(unless of course we started to win)" For most F1 fans in Poland, Kubica was only hope for polish presence in Formula 1. We were able to follow his career since his starts in F3, watching races on cable TV. Some hardcore fans support him "live" practically on every race. But still, for 90% of our polish society he was unknown person. Situation changed a little when he made fantastic debut in World Series by Renault (earlier known as World Series by Nissan - Heikki Kovalainen won this series in 2004, ahead of Tiago Monteiro) in 2005. Kubica won this series earning Formula One tests with Renault. In 2005 his name start to appear in polish news. Also F1 and polish edition of "F1 Racing" gain some popularity, mostly because in 2004 Formula 1 back to polish public, free of charge TV canal. If I remember, in 2006 before Robert debut, about 200.000 people were watching F1 on polish TV, and after Hungary GP it was about 2 millions After Imola (where Kubica was third) we had some kind of "kubicomania" Like you see for most people F1 _is_ Robert Kubica. They are "greenhorn" in F1 world, they are on the way to meet new teams and drivers. Kubica made F1 much more popular sport in Poland for sure. But on the other hand, vetrans polish F1 fans grow up without Poles in F1. So they are still huge fans of Ferrari, Williams, McLaren or even Honda. On F1RoadShow many people had Ferrari, Honda caps, t-shirts etc. McLaren and Williams are also very popular ... Minardi "was" popular. But for sure Robert Kubica deserves some honors. He came to F1 without money, without sponsors, from land with no F1 track, or GP. He is in F1 beacuse he is really good, and hard-working. I think that he is similar to Kovalainen. Rather shy, not Eddie Irvine type. I remember his great starts in Macau, where he defeated Lewis Hamilton several times. I hope he will stay in F1 for some time "Do you reckon the event is worth flying to South Africa to see?? I got a friend there, maybe I should visit and soak up some Renault magic??" It's hard to say. In Poland we haven't F1 tracks, no F1 GP, for many people it was the first contact (and the easiest way) to "meet F1". For them it was "picnic". They are interested in F1 since 2006 and GP Hungary and came to this show (big % from other parts of Poland) to see "what F1 car is". "F1 city" was opened for two days (saturday, sunday) and they came to Warsaw to visit city, eat some grilled sausages. They started in F1 contest (like changing wheels in F1 on time), bought some "souvenirs" They even weren't prepared for F1 noise But of course everyone had camera, at least had to buy F1 cap, and shot photo of his children with some F1 car. So in big % it was picnic for people, who started watching F1 since Robert Kubica debut. And these people where very satisfied, many of them were declaring, that for sure they will go on some F1 GP this year. It's good for Kovalainen, beacuse in my opinion he have now some thousands fans in Poland You aksed me about 80.000. In 99' and 04' or 03' near Warsaw (air field Modlin) were held McLaren West Adrenaline Racing Days. We could watching David Coulthard in his F1 car, some even won ride in "two-seater F1 car" ... also was 1200hp Mercedes Racing Track, and McLarenF1 car. MP4/13 was running more than 300km/h ... everyone was happy. On these shows practically were only F1 fans (not like on F1RoadShow two days ago) and if I have good memory ... it was around 40-50 thousand people. Kubica "brings" F1 to Poland for sure. On GP Hungary, and GP Italy were several hundreds polish fans. On last GP (Monaco) I saw some polish flags too. I also was satisfied, it's always nice to see F1 car running 5 meters from you It was also unusual to see F1 car on the bridge, going nearly 300km/h (they said, it was the "fastest" F1 _RoadShow_ ever). Megane Trophy making "about 100" donuts was very spectacular, and of course Grant with his little car. It was first of six (five?) roadshow planned for this year, so next should be even better. For sure it's worth to go if you live near "F1RoadShow" but to fly thousands km? In my opinion not. But If you were going to see you friend anyway, to visit city .... it won't be stupid to "combine" your trip with F1RoadShow. F1 on local streets it's always something unusal. Once again sorry for my english but I will try to make less mistakes. PS: http://www.formula1.com/news/6209.html

Some more photos Megane Trophy looks really nice in my opinion and also sounds great. Driver made some donuts next to me .. visibilty dropped to nearly 2-3 meters http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=buczaf1dlaf5xt4.jpg http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=buczaf1dlaf6tr0.jpg http://img518.imageshack.us/my.php?image=b...laf7do3.jpgsoiu B197: http://img204.imageshack.us/my.php?image=buczaf1dlafnt7.jpg RS11 1979 Type1 (1979, 10,500rpm, V6 with turbo - first ever F1 car with turbo, that won GP - 520hp), driver - Ren

On 2-3 June, Renault F1 came to Warsaw with their "F1 RoadShow" program. About 80,000 fans were able to see F1 R26 on Warsaw
  6. The Best Cars

7th. gen Civic is boring ?? And maybe VW Golf mkV is "fun to drive", and dosen't look like a tank The most "boring" cars ale german in my opinion. Fox, Polo, Golf, Passat ... all these look like made from brick. Nothing interesting. Extremly dull cars for older people. PS: But yes, now it's a little bit diffrent, but most of japanese cars were boring.
  7. The Best Cars

But what are you making? Civic? Or Jaguar, with Mondeo chasis and engines?
  8. The Best Cars

FIAT - Fehler in allen Teilen. Always low in _every_ ranking. Dosen't matter if we are talking about "quality" or just consumer raports. Alfa Romeo - low bulid quality. AR 147 and AR156 are less safe than Rover 110. And of course .. "next model will be better" = "next year will be mine (DC)". I don't know how in other countries, but in Poland 3-4 year old AR156 is often cheaper, than Honda Civic or VW Golf. http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_rat...1=2&id2=108 Just look at these rankings, and places of cars from italy. http://img430.imageshack.us/my.php?image=a...xxxltcm8ap8.jpg Saab - nothing interesting, at the moment it's just Opel in another design You think Merc and BMW are good in ECNAP? Nothing special, but just look at older models. http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_rat...d1=3&id2=18 http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_rat...d1=3&id2=15 Merc for me is .. "taxi" car, and good for porno stars and snobs. They have huge problems with quality for several years. BMW .. not bad, but fans of BMW Ehh .... Renault, Citoren, Pug .. nothing to talk about. Like always. Cheap, problems with electronic, with reliability (Laguna 2, or 307, C4). Maybe little better than FIAT. But were so good, than in the USA, no french car have official dealer. But Citroen DS or SM were nice Volvo .. nice car, but Subaru is better, specialy if we are talking about 4 wheel drive. And smaller models (S40) weren't so good .. And now "v50" have the same platform as Ford uuuuuu VW - overpraised. Poor 1.4, 1.6, V5 engines. Only diesels are quite interesting. And Porsche. "Sportcars" which have 30% from Opel (924), and VW (914, 924 also). And Cayenne .. VW Touareg (SUV) in diffrent body. Too much 911 on the roads to make it interesting car. So .. I can't find any interesting car in Europe Maybe "supercars" like Zonda, Ferrari, some Porsche, TVR, I remember Vector. Nice cars. So in this category Europe is on top. Maybe also if we are talking about design. I like AR in that category, also Megane 2, C4 are nice and not typical. But I prefer Japanese cars. Often very reliable, 3 years warranty ... good mechanical quality. Not to expensive. In bying and runing. And very "meaty" (?). Lancer Evo and Subaru Impreza STI are unbeaten as a "group N" rally cars. In Europe they have cult status. Pajero dominated Paris-Dakar rally. Japanese cars (Pajero, LandCruiser, Suzuki models) are very popular in offroad racing. Supras, 3000GT, Civic Type-R, Integras are very good for tuning. I'm not talking about US cars, beacuse I'm not fan 70' engineering
  9. Pics Of U!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember when India bought polish PT91 tanks Are you satisfied with these tanks? Do You know something about this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PT-91
  10. Pics Of U!

I drove it on a flat surface, and only several meters But I'm to big for this tank (no place for head when in driving section) ... and what I remember. Very claustrophobic feeling, not nice specialy when hatch is locked I have some pics. of interior, or me behind "the wheel". But nothing interesting I think. It was T64M (or maybe I'm wrong, but rather T64M) maybe modern tanks are more familiar for everyday use
  11. Pics Of U!

Hehe Yes, we are coming, and we have big guns http://images2.fotosik.pl/287/2ef223022d47d32a.jpg O I found pic, of my radio-internet provider http://images3.fotosik.pl/286/9c4fdeef0864b3f1.jpg "i like the tanks the second one looks the best IMO" Thx This tank is still in use (for Museum, in reserve) and I even drove this thing But most interesting were (in my opinion) IS3 and IS2. Last heavy tanks on planet earth

  15. How Your Downtown (City Center) Area Looks??

Unhappy in Warsaw, even if we go to the irish pub ... it's not the same like in UK I like this bar: http://www.champions.pl/index.php?sbl=1000...nge_skin=100012
