heavyweight 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2001 Hi all Does anyone think Zanardi can ever race cars again once he gets used to his new prosphetic legs? It was such a tragedy what happened to him, but I am glad to see how he has taken it all, it must really take a man of character to be so brave and positive after that. Also, have any other drivers lost legs and come back and raced again?
TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2001 I think he can very possible come back and do Touring Cars, DTM or whatever - cars could be converted quite easily, I should think... And you never look for a precedent in motor racing!
F1Babe 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2001 I agree with Sam. This guy is a fighter and a survivor, and if he wants to race again then i'm sure he will.
jagman 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2001 Yeah, it would be great to see him come back and race in some form or another. This guy is a true fighter and it was refreshing and inspiring to see his attitude following his crash. If anyone can do it, he can.!
F1Babe 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2001 It seems Zanardi is already back behind the wheel of his BMW Click Here Apparently Alex gets into his car in a very unique way....he climbed into the boot, pulls his wheelchair in after him, folds it and packs it away, then he climbs through the gap between the two front seats..and he's off !!![
TotalF1 SamB 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2001 He's not looking too bad considering how recently he was on the brink of death
