Niki Lauda believes F1 bosses have completely lost touch with the viewing public.

Lauda, who had a spell as team principal of Jaguar 18 months ago, says bosses have become so consumed by their own rivalries that they have lost track of the bigger picture.

The triple world champion reckons the sport needs to put the politics to one side and focus on providing entertainment.

He told Reuters:

Great Work Nikki. The Big Team bosses would do well to look up the word HUBRIS and try to understand what it means.

Grand Prix Racing (sic) has become about as exciting as watching Michael Schmacher driving down to Tesco's on Monday evening.

Even the trademark 'leap of joy' is starting to look a little strained.

Greed and Hubis will destroy this sport, but try telling that to someone with their head up their a$#e.
