Up-and-coming Australians Will Power and Will Davison will each get a test outing in a Minardi later this year, the Italian team have confirmed.

Team principal Paul Stoddart said in Melbourne that he would be looking to try out a number of drivers in the course of the year, and singled out fellow countrymen Power and Davison as likely candidates.

The duo have been competing in the British F3 championship this season. Power lies seventh in the points standings while Davison is down in 12th after having to give up his Menu Motorsport ride due to a lack of funding.

It is understood that the test will take place in early November at the Vallelunga circuit, near Rome.
