Jenson Button will not find out whether his future lies at Williams or BAR until Wednesday.

The F1 Contracts Recognition Board met in Milan on Saturday but their decision will not be revealed until later in the week.

The three-man panel heard legal representations from both teams andhave retired to make their decision.

An announcement is not expected until Wednesday, by which time Button will be in Brazil preparing for the final round of the world championship.

Button is keen to move to Williams but paddock rumours suggest that the board is more likely to side with the Brit's current employers, BAR.

However, there could be another twist in the tail with whispers this week that Button is set to split with manager John Byfield, a prime mover in the Williams deal.
