BERNIE DISMISSES GPWC THREAT

Formula 1 impresario Bernie Ecclestone has dismissed the threat posed by the breakaway Grand Prix World Championship organisation.

The manufacturer alliance of Renault, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Honda and Toyota has threatened to start a rival series in 2008 unless the teams are given a larger share of the sport
