Michelin Teams Summoned By The Fia

After the farce that was called the USGP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon where just six cars took to the start of the race, the 14 Michelin runners peeling off into the pits and parking in their respective pit boxes after the formation lap, the FIA has summoned all seven team bosses to a meeting with the Motor Sport Council next week where they will be made to explain their individual roles in the incident.

"We would have done anything to race," Frank Williams told the BBC. "The Michelin teams offered to race on a modified circuit with a chicane on the 'offending corner'. We would have been happy to score no points and start at the back of the grid behind the Bridgestone cars."
