He was out testing at an airfield, and we went to watch them have a run around. Got to have a chat to him between sessions which was quite cool. He was surprisingly shy. Mumbled alot and didn't seem very enthuasiastic, I don't know whether he was bored or frustrated as the car had clutch problems, but yeah wasn't as i imagined him to be as apparantly he is a bit of a joker.

Car sounded good though. Was standing practically next to it when they fired it up and wow it sounded great and compared to a Ferrari it's nothing. So loud. It was drizzling so he wasn't going that quick but boy did it scream! Was quite a good day as they were just at a small airfield and there was practically no public (except us ofcourse) there so we could stand near to it as it raced up and down right in front of us.

Weather was crap though, typical.

We don't get that over in NZ.  Drivers testing nearby that is, we do get the crap weather though, like today, heavy rain and 105km/h(65 mph approx) winds.

That's some stroong wind. In California we get weather that is in my opinion crap, temperatures that reach 42+ degrees celsius and slight wind that's just as hot as the air - feels like a sauna.

That wind is not too bad, that is quite normal speeds when the weather says high winds.  But the very high winds and extreme winds are even faster.  Mind you I come from Wellington the windiest major city in NZ.  42 degrees I don't think I've ever seen a weather report for NZ with temp's that high.  We very rarely (but do occasionally) get 32.

Its not fun, I prefer cold to the hot weather. Odd though that this whole HHF test was pretty much not publicized, I feel stupid for not posting it on the website now!

BTW. this is my 550th post. You have 10 weeks to catch up nichosnz! I wont be posting more thana few times over the summer...

Oh s##t you didn't! Crap, oh should be ok. But then it wasn't publicised as i think it was meant to be kept quiet. They test at an airfield purpously as 1 it doesn't receive media hype and 2 it doesn't count towards their limited testing schedule.

We get 42 degress celcius weather in Aus, bloody hot. 28 degress's is nice.

Actually I don't mind that it doesn't get too hot over here. I get heat exhaustion once it goes above 25. My favourite temerature range would have to be 15-18 Degrees C. Don't much like the winds I have to put up with though.

You want wind nichosnz, check out the wind in the opening credits of the movie 'Unfaithful', it's set in NYC, and the winds strong enough to bowl people over Don't watch the rest of that movie though you'll probably uffer an anaphylactic shock

Yeah, but that is a movie. Most of the footage shown of NYC, the city is pretty wind-free, relatively speaking of course.

Oh and BTW, I don't want wind, that is without a doubt the worst thing about living in Wellington.

You know, when it comes to weather, nothing beats Arizona. Easily the worst ever all through the year give a month. Winds wither you down with the heat or the chill year around. In summer the average temp is 110F day long. In winter, it goes to 40 or so. But for my Masters, wouldn't ever dream of living here. Ideal place for me, Raleigh, NC or Blacksburg, VA. Wouldn't mind Cal, NJ or NY too.

No, don't follow cricket but I believe NZ are doing well against the Windies at the moment.

Heinz Harald is a very good driver, an unfortunate victim of circumstance, as many good drivers often are. He was, of course, along with Wendlinger, considered better than MS, when the trio drove in the Mercedes program.

He is definitely getting better results in the Arrows than Jos ever did. I'd like to see him back with a top team, but that is unlikely at this stage of his career.

As for places to live, you can't beat British Columbia.

Absolutly HHF is better than JV. Possibly still better than MS if circumstance had treated him as well as MS.
