Where in SamB, last time I asked I was told he was on holiday, how long is his holiday.

There are 227 registered members but only 4-8 semi regulars about the same again occasional visitors, where are the other 200+.

I have absolutely no idea. Sam is back from his trip to Europe, as you cans see there are new columns from him already. I guess he hasn't had enough time to pop by here.

The 'outsourcing' of news doesn't help, as before this happened every article had a discuss in the forum link at the bottom that doesn't exist anymore.

That is true, very true. Right now though we're sticking with the news grab system as Wez seems to be quite busy, and honestly I really cant handle all the news duties myself. This can change in the future though...

Welcome from me as well. Definitely will be good to have a few more people round the boards again. I like your idea rodders47. Not that I'm extremely technically minded though (so my contributions will probably be very limited) but I'd certainly be interested to read up a bit more on the technical side of F1.

That link is great to read up on stuff about the car itself. I have done a lot of research on that, such as to complement what I teach myself about cars with online manuals and such and such on how engines, transmissions, clutches work to how they are engineered to do so much better in a race situation.

I will have to read up on it, I have a semi detailed book about F1, CART and NASCAR but it is from 96 so the F1 and CART sections are almost completely out of date now. I have been looking for something of this nature that is more up to date.
