Obviously looks doesn't equal speed though, McLaren produced some of the uglyest Turbo cars, and still won 4 turbo championships.

I liked the 1991 Jordan also, I have a model of one (no not MS's one) sitting on my PC monitor.

The 7UP branding just looked good and the car itself was shaped very well. I think this year's cars saw an improvement from years like 1999 and 2000, the F2002 really just looked awesome.

It was also the mix of sponsors colours that worked in the 1991 Jordan:

7.UP - Green

Ireland - Green

Brooksfield - Green

BP - Green

Fujifilm - Green

Not a lot of clashing going on there!

And the curve on the engine cover, the shape of the front wing, the sidepods shape (particularly the front), JUST MAGNIFICENT.

I agree about the Ferrari too, in 2001 they made an improvement, and for this year softened it a bit which made it even better.

Ech, the F2001 didnt really appeal to me, the droopnose just didn't look right at all, which is why the EJ12 Jordan of this year was not good looking in my view either..

They had a droopnose this year too, just softened. The Jordan was ugly though didn't look as much like a droopnose as a broken nose!

Thats true. The Jordan hasn't really done much this year - in the performance or looks department!!!

Sorry I was mistaken, the videos were of a video game that was released in August, I did a fast search last night and the page looked like it was the real thing.. There is bound to be video somewhere, I will keep looking.

Did you hear that in Australia the V8's got four to nine times the television ratings that F1 did?! Thats amazing!

The Ferrari is very reliable so would be awarded the win when it is the last to retire.

LOL I doubt grooved slicks could be any good on hail at the top of the hill!! It would be a tough race for an F1 car though, they are now more fragile than ever before, the grunt just isnt there.

Hi Jens, yes the F1 cars are Fragile, very fragile indeed which does detract from some of the racing as one little touch can destroy a car !!!

I gotta say my 1/5th car, with a new body (Volvo S 40 ) is not so fragile, as in it's first race I was punted off the circuit at 100 kph, rolled three times landed on its wheels near the fence and I just opened the throttle and went for it, finally won the race after 10 mins of hard driving :-)

Only damage to the NEW body was a few scratches, easily polished out :-)

Amazing, it must be weird to see a 1/5th car zooming by so fast But definitely the steep downhill at Bathurst could also be a problem for the plank wearing, as I imagine this would cause huge problems for example at the corkscrew turn at Laguna Seca..

They would get around plank wearing somehow, probably by raising the ride height.

Raising the ride height does away with a fair share of grip for the car though, as the air can pass more freely under the car. So it would be an interesting compromise, though I suspect suspension packers would be a more likely solution..

They already have to do it other tracks like the bumpy Interlagos for example, they don't have much suspention travel to play with so that could only be part of any solution.

actually Nichos was ot THAT reat driving as only 2 cars finished LOL the other 5 in the race broke down near the end

Hahah, brings to mind a kart race I had a few years back where 10 of 14 runners were knocked out at the first second and third corners of the first lap, and then two of the remaining ran out of fuel, leaving me for the win and my friend to take second
