This isn't the final scheduale, but Austria will probably not be in the calendar next year. Why? I don't know, I was hoping for other members to inform me.

Well, the return of the Belgian Grand Prix. The government had previously not wanted F1 to be in their country because of tobacco, then I guess they changed their mind or something like that. It will be interesting to see the races at Bahrain (Unless if San Marino is not dropped) and China (Just hope the F1 people don't get assaulted by angry terrorists in Bahrain).

Your guestion about Austria, Tobacco!

Great to see Belgium back, the best circuit in F1 today, and one of the best of all time, BTW it was the teams not the government that said no F1 in Belgium 2003.

No 3 week break also next year, mind you the first draft for this season did not include it either.

I will just be happy to see Eau Rouge back again. Can't wait!!!! :D:D:D

Also a pity that they're not dumping the Brazilian GP instead of one of the others. Its a track thats just not capable of hosting a go-kart race, never mind a GP.

Yes, SPA! Can't wait to see it, I'm already talking with some friends about a trip over there to see the Grand Prix! :D

Also, Brazil is a track that should be in F1, it is simply the venue that shouldn't. The track itself is fantastic, from the bumps to the turns, it's great. It's just the hosting part...

I read a few weeks ago that Mexico is considering building a new circuit to FIA F1 standards with securing a GP a major goal. IF this ever happens Mexico could challenge the Interlagos mangement into losing their GP, because time and time again it has been stated that Interlagos is here to stay in order to keep F1 in South America. A race in Mexico would acheive that end.

Tobacco!

Well that was a simple answer. I just feel that the EU has gone crazy over this whole tobacco issue, I mean theres so much money thats being made by F1 because of tobacco sponsorships.

I've also heard about some other countries who may want to be host to F1 and as nichosnz stated, one of them is Mexico again; and some other ones are Egypt and India. I'm pretty sure they won't mind the tobacco.

Add to that (in varing degrees of likelyhood) Russia, a second in the USA, Turkey, South Africa, Holland, and I think I even heard Korea in the last 12 months, I think?
