Rubens finally gets one this year

Recommended Posts

That was probably the most exciting race along with Brazil this year. Rubens becomes what...the 7th different driver to win this year. After his terrible run in the first qualifying session, he got the pole and came over some crazy obstacles in the race. The best part of the race was seeing the two Toyotas leading the race, and Da Matta held off Kimi for quite a while; I think at a time Da Matta and Kimi were about 20 sec. ahead of Panis...or maybe it was 10 sec....well anyways Da Matta was fast.

Yes the seventh!! The first time since the 8 of 1985.

For me it was probably not the most exicting F1 race I have seen, but it was the most exciting race of the most exciting season I have seen!

WOW!!! James Allens said we must be approaching triple figures in passing manouvers, I don't think he was far wrong.

I loved it. There's got to have being more overtaking here than there's being in the past 3 seasons put together. Was also great seeing Rubens finally earn his salary this week... I have to admit that I was getting woried that Rubens has lost his motivation this year but I guess he proved me wrong yesterday with probably the best drive of his career. Only disapointment yesterday was that $@#!ing idiot that ran down the middle of the track. It really looked like he had a death wish, and I hope they lock him up for a very long time to dicourage this from happening again. It eneded costing Schumi and Trulli probably the hardest but overall it was enjoyable race. :D

Yep a good race and some passing as well.

Shame the cameraswere not on M.S. a lot , at one stage he was 14th then not a long time after he was in 5th or 6th and going forward !!! One has to give it to M.S. he NEVER gives up

Yet next time Schumy is dominating a race 30 seconds in the lead, you will not see much of anyone else!

One thing I find quite amuseing is in relation to the future of Silverstone the British press often say that it produces a great race, well for once that will not be a serious overstatement.

Yeah SHUMI seems to get the limelight, and well he DOES deserve it.. I don't really ADMIRE the guy but HELL I sure respect his ability to THINK on his feet (um bum ) whatever :D

 All the talk of the last 3 yrs or so

has been the Mika Pass of Schumi at SPA,

or the gutsy overtake by JPM of MS at Brazil,

I don't think they even come close to the set ups

and passes that RB made last week, they had every

element of passing-closeing up-stalking your prey

feinting one direction and going the other-makeing the

other driver make a mistake and then pouncing

on it to overtake. RB showed the world why Kimi

has a way to go before he can be WDC...!!!! B)

I agree, in all the races I've watched, a couple (at least) of Barrichello's moves are the best ones I have seen, ever. Of the clips of the past (again, those I've seen) the only better are Villeneuve vs Arnoux.
