B)B) Now thats what I've been waiting for to Schumi

on pole! With any luck he'll translate pole into

a better start and show them others how a WDC

responds to a challenge, give a little 'smackdown'

so to say. props to M. Gene for a good show!!

Alonso, what's up?? no free passes just because

you won last race!! J. Button nice drive, still

holding braging rights over JV!!!! gOING TO BE

A GOOD RACE!!!!!!!

I think Alonso made the right call, considering TC failure, he has the advantage of choosing to start from the pitlane. Raikkonen has already shown us that last on the grid can be worse than the pitlane. This would allow Alonso to choose to change his strategy if he wanted to.

After almost 54 years with no Spaniard GP winner we have the possibility - however likely or unlikely - of having 2 different one in 2 races. With Gene being in a race winning car.

um Well I for one expected this for M.S. to be on pole that is!!

WHY would they complain about the Michelin's if it was not to their advantage ?????

As I understand Michelin have re-conformed their tyre so as not to infringe this new? rule...

Motor Racing sure is about BALANCES..

Here in OZ the Sandown 500KM race has just finished for the V8 supercars!! Weather conditions attrocious to say the least, with rain/hail etc. The winning car had electrical problems so in order to finish it appears that they had to switch off the RAIN light!! Well as I understand it that is AGAINST the rules.. but M.S. ( Mark Skaife in this instance) still won. I wonder if having the initials of M S is the most important part of racing ???? whatever the class!!!

Wow its been a while since I've visited the forum (I'm sure everyone missed my korny jokes  )

Can't believe Michael has 5 wins this season, and is only ahead of Juan by 3 pts. (Montoya who only has 2). This new pts system has made the race more interesting, but unfair at the same time. Poor Kimi couldn't get past Barrichello, I'm sure Jens has a new enemy now....Damn that Rubens! What about that Alonse eh? He began the race off by crashing into Wilson (I think, I forget a lot), and then he got into another accident when he hit the road blocks at the chicane. Inspite of all that, he managed to get a point, without a bargeboard and some other parts just dangling on the car. He's been the most entertaining driver this year.

When I heard Martin Brundle state that Alonso should not continue after loosing all those 'bits' after the chicane incident, I thought to myself, 'give him a chance Martin he is a very good driver if this flight calms him down a little, he still has a chance of some points'. What happened though to the 2 Saubers ahead of him going into the final lap, I didn't see any of their demise.

Not sure about the Sauber's Nichos will check the video.

But well I guess Ferrari deserved the win after reportedly doing 1,000 kms of testing with god knows how many cars and god knows at what expense ?????

Seems like to win a race it's all about MONEY again !!

I re-iterate : the Sandown 500 for the Aussie V8 supercars ( prelude to Bathurst) was very different! at times the cars were doing 20 km's/p/hr and Sliding off the circuit on HAIL STONES :D

B)Now-Now lets not go there now why would HHF want to hold up

JPM if you go back and look you will see that he let him by as soon

as was safe, besides the fact that JPM closed the gap any way!!

Was the race boreing???? :D:lol: No more than any other,

race that JPM is winning, or Kimi,Alonso etc. Schumi just

got the burr under his seat and decided to SPANK-EM, after being called

a wuss in his previous close runs with JPM you will observe

that it was the Colombian that gave way(smart move,no good

would have come from Jaun knocking both out of the race) when he

could have tried to press, maybe he's getting the idea that

to win one must finnish.....Interesting how when it was all said an done

the top 5 finneshed in the order they started in. Hats off

to Fernando-The Human Misslle-Alonso, anybody who can

inflict so much carnage on his car and still finish with a point

to boot has got my vote for rookie of the year!!! B)B)

Wait what the hell am i talking about!? Schumacher would only have a 6pt. lead compared in last year's pts system. I can't believe this, not even a day back into the forum and i've said something retarded.

191 starts (or 190, depending if you consider retiring on the parade lap a start or not)

146 finishes - - - all in the top 8

144 points finishes

142 top 6 finishes

121 podiums

all these (except starts, here he is 8th) are records, as averages/ratios only Fangio has better (ignoring drivers with less than 10 starts)

There is some problem with double posts right now, ignore them, they'll go away :)

Anyway, Schumi owns about every record in the book so I am not too surprised :D:lol:

He doesn't have most poles, still 10 short of Senna. And anyone who reads the Stats on the Wrap will see he is 1 short of Senna in Poles for a team.

B) Thanks Nichos I'll have to clean the wax out

of my ears, but then when listening to David Hobbs

sometimes it gets a little mixed up.

 Damnitt Jens you are not to mention his name

in mixed company, and if you must please use the proper

name of "RRRRRRRRRRRIT" or the name of a body function

PLEASE!!!! Back to my ? only 121 out of 190 or so???

and I thought the guy was good, what a piker, I'm sure

most of the field has a better ratio at least that's what

Schumi's detrackters say! hehehehehehehhehe groveling

maggotts, they wish :lol::lol: speaking of Mr. Hobbs

Speedvision was replaying a NASCAR race Daytona '83 a

CBS broadcast and ole D.Hobbs was doing color, I love

that guy he's great, plus I met him at a IMSA GTP race, got to talk to him

for 10-12 mins. real friendly he was in a 12cyl. Jag. the only

non turbo cars in the field a wicked growel for sure, with

Ted Nugent as a Celeb driver-if I recall right the team

was run by T. Walkinshaw-------------------

No no, not counting drivers with less than 10 starts (as in days gone by it was easier for a driver to 'luck-in' to a couple of good results, so it seems) only Fangio has a better ratio that Schumacher for points and podium finishes. That is what the comment at the bottom was implying, I'll go and edit it to make it clearer.
