Montezemolo doesnt give up on Kimi?

Recommended Posts

:? Montezemolo has now followed Brawn's and Todt's footsteps and confirmed his admiration for Kimi. he wants to take him to Ferrari even though his contract with McLaren is for 5 years, Ferrari needs to look into the future and start making plans for the future.

I dont understand this and I am confused. Now they signed with Barrichelo for 2 more years and maybe Schummie will stay until end of 2006. Where is Kimi going to go? Or is Schummie leaving at the end of 2004? :? :?

I havent read anything about this. but you can bet a lot of teams have their eye on Kimi and every up coming young gun with talent. Its only natural to want the best drivers when you can afford them.

Although M$ has signed til the end of '06, I feel that this will be his last season. Don't know why, I just have this feeling that he will retire at the end of this year. Kimi would be a great replacement for him, although I think Ferrari have Massa in mind should this come to pass.

Although it would be great to see the Villeneuve name back with Ferrari!!

If Schumi stays until '06, then that would open the door for Kimi. Count the five years, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 - no contract with Mclaren. But I have a feeling Kimi won't be going anywhere.

Kimi will never go to Ferrari :D

:):) This is something that we will have to wait and see, never say never. Anything is possible and if the right offer is made to Kimi he will not turn it down, believe me.

I think he would, honestly. If Schumacher were still at Ferrari, and he received equal number one, then he probably would accept - so he could beat Schumi in the same car. But it won't happen.

Even if Luca would have the kind of money to destroy McLaren

Ferrari has lost some very key people, some to Mclaren. Antonia Terzi left for Williams and is now responsible for having created the new front wing on the FW26, while John Walton (if I recall the name correctly) has gone to Mclaren and been an integral part of the new twin-clutch gearbox they have revolutionised.

Of course we do not know Kimi's mindset - the most important factor in this arguement. It is reasonably well known that Senna had it in his heart to drive for Ferrai one day (and they were pretty s**t then), and he did go to Williams. So a McLaren lovechild is not exclusive McLaren property.
