Notice the track difference and the huge slicks. Also the nose/wheelbase is quite longer to protect the driver feet.

God did not intend Grand Prix cars to have groves and narrow tracks.

well, a narrower longer wheel base allows for higher speeds through fast corners while a shorter wider wheel base alows for higher speed through slow corners, in the end its a trade off

but your right, a narower wheel base reduces mechanical grip and increases the need for aero

The Masters have returned.
