  1. For those of you who don't have a copy of 'F1 Onboards' (shame on you if you don't!!), type in 'F1 Onboards' and the whole thing is viewable in 'parts'.
  2. It's really that fast, but we rarely get the proper camera angle to see it (it's either a front or back view, which fools the eye and makes motion look slower). On the '69 footage. Rindt FTW!!
  3. Hmm...Kay, it seems you will become a poetic lawyer. I'm not sure society is ready for that!!!!

  4. Yup, I really smoke a pipe. I talk a bit about it in my blog 'Smoke Screen' (shameless plug) ;)

  5. That's a great video, thanks! Notice how Ricardo is looking at both his rear-views? Back and forth, back and forth....he must be thinking "WTF??!??"
  6. Actually I just noticed the link you posted and went there. My french is good enough that I can read the site, but I still have no clue what Alain races.... The best I can come up with is a European Hill Climb series. My earlier posts can be ignored because this guy's series is below the Sportscar series I was talking about...still looks like fun, though. Reminds me of taking a Porsche 914 through the mountain roads just above Moreno Valley here in California.
  7. This site is by a member of the Sportscar Technical Working Group (comprised of members from the FIA and ACO, as well as manufacturers). It explains what I'm talking about better than I could!! http://www.mulsannescorner.com/kieronsalterlmp12.html
  8. Those stats would match it up to the LMP2 class (or Prototype2 as I wrongly called it). HP is a little low for LMP2, but the rules are complex as '05 was a transitional period for the class. Do you know if this was raced under the LMP2 class?
  9. I would guess a Prototype2 car from the ALMS. It's probably someplace in Europe, but it sure looks like the San Bernardino mountains here in Southern California!!
  10. Also, at Benetton, Brundle was whipping Michael Schumacher on a regular basis in the latter half of '92. A feat worthy of respect considering how fast Schumacher was (is).
  11. Go Brundle! God he was (is) a smooth driver. Just listen to how he gently he rolls on and off the throttle while not losing a bit of speed.
  12. That Elise race looks like my drive home through traffic!! Great stuff
  13. This will explain why my avatar and my banner are Gilles: I believe, after he pulled it into the pits, he was yelling for a new tire to be put on there...gotta find the quote, it's great... And Jacques talking about his dad's car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgP-VThAEI0 Mika and MS at Spa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YMC2_TfpsE Some memories for me...The Lion in America: Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDX-iKsFGPo Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VFqQp0Otk4 Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFuloTXd-Q4 Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQy-hFa-wf8 Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erNRBxidFiE Part 6: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVjGdEIAYxc
