  1. Hello to you all! I just registered but I have been reading these forums for quite a while.

I am from the land of the great and evil NEN, Finland.

I support my fellow countrymen Kimi, Heikki and Nico, but my favourite driver from them all is the poor old Barrichello who I've supported since his Stewart times. I've never really supported any particular team but BMW is maybe one I like the best.

I hope I find something to say in the various topics in here and that I'd be able to post often. ...Time will tell...

I don't know you, but I already like you! Welcome aboard! :D

  2. why is everyone nowadays copying me in adressing Quiet One as the Quiet One....that honor bestow me

 true! Except I doubt that adressing me in any way can be considered an honor!

It's ok, you can always adress me as The Almighty Master of the Whole Universe and Surroundings.

  3. So you guys were 3, the 2 of which disappeared... :eusa_think:

Sorry Shane that means you are the only Alonso fan here!!! :king:

The Quiet One is still an Alonso fan I wonder :eusa_think: ?? Surely his intellect must have led him to other paths...He is probably on Youtube watching Schumi's past triumphs ;)

By the way welcome to the forums that-john-kydd

    I am an Alonso fan!!

And I only watch Schumi's vids on Youtube when I need to learn proper parking techniques :P

  4. Hey everyone my names john and i come from the great white north. I've been watching f1 for as long as i can remember thanks to my dad. I don't have a favorite team but I am a huge alonso fan. I joined this forum because not a lot of people i know are into f1. so yeah hi.

Hi there John, you arrived in a slow day  There has been some forum maintenace undergoing so it has been offline. You will soon see it is usually more crowded than today.

Good to see another Alonso fan around btw. Like dinosaurs we seem to be bound to become extinct lately

Last year the hero, this year the villain...that's the way it goes! :eusa_think:

  5. Hi guys,

Glad to join the fray. Big F1 fan here. My genome dictates that my unfailing loyalties must lie with my pasta devouring brethren at Scuderia Ferrari (although I haven't quite warmed up to Kimi yet). However, I must say that I am a fan of any driver that brings passion to the sport and delivers excitement to the races - i.e. Hamilton is quite OK in my book!

    Salute!

*mumbles something about another bloody ferrari fan joining the forum*

    Ahem, welcome!

Nice interests you posted in your profile (at first I read "astrology" instead of "atsronomy" and almost had a stroke!) I think you will get along fine with us, specially with Murray Walker (the original, not the impersonator you watch on TV). You will find we are all a bunch of freaks, and you know what? I love it being that way!

BTW I think it's time for someone else to do a guide to our most representative members! I did one once, albeit uncomplete and incorrect as I've been here for not too long at the time. Somebody make an updated version!

  6. Thanks!

    actually it's bienvenida ;) I forgot to tell you I'm a girl :D

    I really haaate Pedrosa.I must admit that he's good but he's so arrogant!And you can imagine,here it's all Pedrosa this,Pedrosa that...just like Hamilton in England.Inverviews,more interviews,Pedrosa,Pedrosa,Pedrosa's father,Pedrosa...

    :D

    I've never been a ferrari fan though I support Rossi.But I also like Kimi,so i'm a bit "ferrarier" than before ;)

    Ups, perd

  7. Don't have the time to go through all these to see what has and has not been posted, so sorry if these are already up.

One of my favorite on board videos of all time, makes me wish F1 cars could still skid around a bit.

Beautiful. Simply the best commercial ever. That 70s Ferrari has a wonderful sound.

Great overtake, not F1, but close enough.

    Villeneuve and Massa, Suzuka 2004

JV did a good job keeping Massa back.

    Montoya Tribute

Because JPM was just the best.

    Heidfeld and Alonso, Last Sunday

Best overtake so far in 2007.

    More later.

    -Eric

Geez, even as an Alonso fan I must say that NH's move was beautiful! (and the comments are from Fox Sports Latin America...it's an argentinean guy speaking, Fernando Tornello :) )

  8. Those stats would match it up to the LMP2 class (or Prototype2 as I wrongly called it). HP is a little low for LMP2, but the rules are complex as '05 was a transitional period for the class. Do you know if this was raced under the LMP2 class?

    Err... ...yes?

  9. I would guess a Prototype2 car from the ALMS. It's probably someplace in Europe, but it sure looks like the San Bernardino mountains here in Southern California!!

Took a little research but here are my findings:

    Driver: Alain Castellana

Norma M20, 794 Lbs without engine, 1,334 lbs total. 3 liter BMW inline 6 cyl@400hp

Course: Gemenos-LaBaume, France 2005 (He was the winner)

    Cheers! :D

  10. But he was 3rd until the battery failed, which is what dropped him back. That's not a bad performance when you consider what a shiitbox the Brabham was...............

I was just kidding. In fact it was one of the most brilliant displays from MB. And yes, that Brabham was a piece of junk! I wouldn't have used it to go grocery shopping!

  11. Go Brundle! God he was (is) a smooth driver. Just listen to how he gently he rolls on and off the throttle while not losing a bit of speed.

(Guess this is not a good time to bring back the fact that he ended up 2 laps behind Senna...) :naughty:
