  1. Grooveless slicks , I for one like change and the grooved tyres were an unwelcome change yet the teams found how to make them work , so now in 2009 they are being made to go back to slicks . My biggest problem with slicks is where will the white stripe go how will I know if a team is on soft or hard compounds . To be honest with all the money saving rules there are still only have ten teams racing , how is it helping ?
  2. Mistakes By Drivers

To er is human to forgive is divine .
  3. Why Not To Go To One Engine Manufacturer

If safety is so important why don't they drive tanks around the tracks ? I bet the M1A1 would kick the british tanks arse !!!!!!!1
  4. OKOK bash the grooves but think about it they were meant to slow the cars down , and still they were able to match or better slick tyre track records , so they only worked for a few races , I kinda dig the white stripe they use to show the "option" tyre . Besides Indy cars use slicks who wants to use indy car tyres .
  5. Ferrari Out On Their Own?

The FIA has three changes they want to institute to help lower racing cost , I think that the common engine rule is a ploy so they can get the other two to pass and really aren't worried about the engine rule , they remove to common engine rule if the other two pass making it more palatable to the car builders and teams .
  6. Ferrari Out On Their Own?

OKOK Toyota made the same announcement and no one made this much fuss , I do agree the two top guys need to be toppled , now if all the teams would stand up and be counted then maybe changes would be made , but that doesn't seem to be the case . I say they have a rules freeze , that mite save a few bucks and or euro's turn back the clock to 2004 and let those rules ride for a few yrs , only when it comes to driver safety can a change be made but lets do a little forward thinking instead of a "knee-jerk" reaction to events that happen on the track when making rules to keep the drivers safe , if F1 is so smart why not use some intelligence when making rules . Of course Indy car isn't F1 but its looking better and better with all the new rules they keep coming up with , heck I hope they never come back to the states if they keep Fing up the cars .
  7. Massa Class

YA know whenever we watch the podium ceremony and Lewis and Phil are on together we get the feeling that they would make great team mates , and during the interview after you can really see that they both enjoy racing each other without the animosity that some drivers have for each other . We have been Massa fans since he came onborad with Ferrari , he has the fire that some others seem to lack .
  8. Green Agenda To Fuel F1

Back in the 70's during the fuel embargo CART added new rules limiting pit stops and fuel use during races , it helped spur new ways to run faster and use less fuel but , its racing not everyday folks driving to work or as we did when I was a kid go out for a sunday drive that had to stop because the price of gas out striped the wages of the time and then Jimmy Carter mandated 55mph speed limit all which helped save gas but , to have a sport or entertainment venue to increase MPG or LPK is alittel outta hand , look at IRL teams using Ethanol , thats like taking food and making it into fuel , does that make sense , no we need alternate fuels not raise the MPG of racing cars .
  9. Green Agenda To Fuel F1

OK this is a little over the top , these cars are not for taking one to work and home they are race cars , hell why don't the drivers just "car pool" if they wanna save gas .
  10. With all the bumping and banging DC has been doing as of late one would think he is getting ready for his switch to NASCAR next yr .
  11. With Just 4 Races To Go...

Well that wood make sense if they lost it Phil Massa who wood be the new WDC, I mean if both Lewis and Kimi won it then yes Massa wood not win it , or do you mean that LH & KR have given up and are no longer trying to win but rather letting Phil win , either way if Phil has the most points one wood have to say that he is the winner and the others will be the whinners . Remember kids second place is really the first loser . Maybe KR will set a new record for the most fastest laps in a single season .
  12. All this effort to close the gap between the front runners and back markers , seems like more a waste of time then opening the rules so other manufacture's will start team or help teams with engines or aero work . I too am a fan of the Independent teams but , through rules and cost cutting they are making it harder and harder for them to survive .
  13. Riccardo Patrese Drives Wife Crazy In Civic Type-r

Man them Italian woman quite expressive , I bet she is hot between the sheets ........ wink wink ... nudge nudge !
  14. At the end of the 2008 season Steve Hallman will be leaving McLaren for a job in NASCAR , I guess Montoya needs alittle help adapting to making left turns .
  15. As a former McLaren driver you don't hear these same complaints about Montoya in NASCAR , maybe Lewis should set his sights on a nascar car career .
  16. Let There Be Light!

They stole that from a Baja 1000 dunebuggy , OMG not anutter steffy gate !
  17. With Just 4 Races To Go...

I have to ask is the "china" wall made of china ? With 4 races left I would think Kimi rear ends Lewis just before hitting the china wall while at Brazil .
  18. Loopholes sounds like the sport of Lawyers .
  19. Why Has Nick Heidfeld Never Won A Gp?

He hasn't been P1 at the checkered flag ??????
  20. With Just 4 Races To Go...

Now that they have heated lens for their racing helmet I would think the newest item would be nightvision lens that are heated as well for the night race , hell why not a HUD in the c#ckpit , there are no rules for that as of yet .
  21. Why not have the FIA build cars and the teams rent them on race weekends and change them mileage as well as crash insurance , that way they could defray the cost of building and maintaining the cars . Think of it who could win the WDC with the lowest mileage .
  22. Hd

Here in the USA we are now getting more and more HDTV but so far F1 is still shown here in low definition , I was wondering if in Europe do youse guys have HD or something similar to the USA version , sports looks so much better and is more fun to watch in HDTV , hell even American football is more interesting , OKOK not that much more .
  23. Driver Of The Day-italian Gp

I got to watch that style live at Indy in 06 when he took himself and his team mate , oh yeah Kimi out at turn one and two , I do have to admit when he stepped out of the garage with his wife and child the crowd went nutz , OKOK the Columbians went crazy , it was a fun day sitting in that crowd that day .
  24. New Villian In F1

We met a young race car driver yesterday at an Mazda Atlantic race , he was the star of "Malcom in the Middle" Frank Muntis I think anyway he was a very open and talked with us as long as he could , had to get ready for his race anyway before we met him we watched as he took his Grandfather around the garage showing him his car , taking the time to show his grandpop what is important in his life and making him feel apart of it , Frank didn't win the race but his Grandpop was very excited and happy for that young man , always nice to see a young driver keeping his family as important as his other interest .
  25. New Villian In F1

If he says nothing he is screwed and anything he does say again he's screwed aka dmaned if you do , dmaned if you don't . He's not arrogant he's that good and knows it .
