SCHU: IT'S NOT OVER YET

Last Updated: Wednesday, 28 April , 2004, 10:26

Michael Schumacher has refused to admit that the season is already wrapped up.

The Ferrari driver has not only taken four successive victories this season, he has won them in a commanding fashion leaving his rivals to dust.

But the German believes the tide will change and has ruled out winning all 18 races claiming it is unrealistic to even suggest he could.

He told his personal website: "I don't take part in speculation because it is not only premature, but above all is completely unrealistic.

"As soon as the next race everything can look very different.

"Formula 1 is all about work.

"All the teams work incredibly hard and will improve steadily."

Schumacher is 16 point clear in the drivers' championship with team-mate Rubens Barrichello one point ahead of BAR's Jenson Button in second place.

Despite his lead, Schumacher has refused to sit back and relax. He will join his team-mates testing the F2004 this week.

I think that this thing has been decided. 4 4 4? The other teams have a heckuva lot of work to do to catch up with Ferrari.

Thanks Schumi for trying to give us hope, but we know you've got it won and this year is already over, unless we get some Ferrari reliability ala 1995-96, but I doubt that will happen, but thanks anyways.

Definately won it .

Ive just accepted it this year and now live in hope for next year with Montoya ( even though hes gonna kill more engines than Kimi ... lol ).

When i watch a race now , i pretend hes not there and watch it from 2nd or 3rd position and actually enjoy it allot better .

I always switch off before he does his ****ing stupid podium jump as well , just thought id mention that .
