It looks like the shoot out for a Jordan seat is well an truly on.

I concur with the current rumours that it is Heidfeld which is mostly under threat. Pantano is now qualifying and racing on comparable times, and is also bringing the all important bucks to EJ. Pantano's sponsors would be most displeased if his contract was cut short..

Whereas Nicky is not being paid a cent, thus a contract termination would cost EJ nothing.

So unless there are problems with the payments from Pantanos backers and there is no evidence of this as of yet .. I think its bye bye Nickey ..

This could all be Jordan's back-up plan to help leverage his Team's position for future talks with Engine suppliers , which I think is that he may be having second thoughts over the Cosworth power level .

Personally I thought his Team would be far more competative with Jaguar or Toyota and that is not appearing to be present.

Heidfield is not that good ? or does Jordan know that H.H.F. seemed to be very close to Heidfields level and this is in a way having a close-up comparison of like having H.H.F. quality driver to compare from to measure up others ....including Jos V. whom may include the Big Bucks that would help the Team out (you would think ...)

I think Michelins would help more.

totally agree. i always believed it would be heidfeld under threat. the short term commercial realities always pointed in that direction.

it's interesting is it not that ej has recently come out praising heidfeld and how he would push for him to get a bmw drive next year.. most likely it is to ensure that it isn't perceived in the paddock that heidfeld was dropped purely for his lack of performance when jos is promoted. ej has a conscience after all..

GP is to good a driver do be droped in his first 5 races and yes JV will bring more money but i like hindfeld and it whould be good to see him in a jag next year.
