Field to meet in Monaco

'Grand Prix Drivers' Association' directors Mark Webber and Michael Schumacher are, according to sources, to stage a meeting with their 18 track-colleagues.

It follows confusion regarding what is acceptable during overtaking moves.

FIA race director Charlie Whiting addressed the Formula One stars at the pre-race briefing in Barcelona in which he attempted to 'clarify' the situation.

Juan Pablo Montoya was easily Spain's most irate.

''When you have different stewards at each race,'' said the Colombian, ''they're always going to like one driver more than another. That's just the way it is.

''I don't want Charlie's clarification - I want consistency.''

It's understood that at the drivers' Monaco meeting next weekend, the circuit aces will 'agree amongst themselves' what is and is not acceptable on-track.

Michael Schumacher didn’t do anything wrong in Spain apart from win the race. The comments concern past results when Schumacher is never punished yet others are, even when they do similar things – Montoya was punished on the incident with Rubens at USA 2003 yet M. Schumacher was not punished for pushing Alonso onto the grass at Silverstone 2003 etc.

8) Oh this is rich you make it sound as if MS has never been nicked!

there are so many times when cars are run off and no penalty it all depends what is the result of said action if they continue on then it should be treated as "racing"

We all know MS is a dodgey driver to say the least. The FIA never have the balls to deal with him. I think what wil come out of this is more "rules" for MS to break.

M$ does nonthing wrong on the race track its only behind the seans that he cheats. but im starting to think that M$ does not know how to pass because in the post race intervew in spain he said that he got close to JT but never close to pass him when me thinks that M$ is just to pussy to pass.

 I don't think he was scared. He knows he's get the best car out there by a mile or two and if he's close enough to the first placed car by the first stops, he's got the race won if the car doesn't fail on him.
