Now it's Webber to Toyota

Recommended Posts

Autosport claims that Toyota are very interested in Webber. Don't have the gist of the story but its in the latest autosport mag. I went to their site and it was one of their top stories. Don't have anymore details. Now this silly season takes another turn, has Webber caught wind of JV signing for Williams and got a little stage fright   Only kidding there people, Im very sure he's already signed for Williams.

Although Im sure he's off to Williams, but this doesn't sound as weird as you think. Now assuming he hasn't signed for Williams, Toyota are rolling in the $$$ and will, I mean, should, have a good car next year when Gascoyne designs his first car. Now Williams won't go into a bidding war for MW's contract and Flav wouldn love to see MW in a team that won't challenge his boys at Renault. Toyota can buy out his contract and give him a good car. It makes sense, plus there is talk Williams will hold discussions with Davidson, which adds fuel to this fire, as FW has said he wants an experienced driver in the car, and AD has only 2 GP's to his name, now he won't hire Webber and Davidson, it'll be one or the other, as none is a proven race winner like DC or JV, so it is a possibility.

you made some good points there. but whay whould FW not pick MW because hes not experienced hes been racing for 3 years now and well AD hos only 2 DNF with Minardi. in both of these racers he was team mate with Webber and well we relly did not get to see them battle it out. and also MW has said that

"Im not 22 any more im 27 and i cant wate around"

now is not driving for toyota wateing arount and is no Williams a proven winner (well not the FW26). and also Webber is not one to go for money so why whould he go for a s##t team just because he will be getting more and add to that, that R$ will be his team mate there and well after there little 2nd round battle why whould thay wont to drive the same car.

Don't worry mate, Im pretty sure he's off to Williams. About the experienced driver thing, FW and PH said they prefer an experienced driver, who knows how to win and mix it with Michael. Now I know Mark hasn't had the equipment to do so, but he's not a proven product, as in DC or JV, both have taken on and beaten Michael. If FW wants a potent combination he'd hire JV and MW, both drivers should get along well, and could learn things off each other. JV could teach MW about fighting at the front and making some classy moves, admittedly its been a long time, but you don't forget those things, whilst MW could team MW some things about teamwork and fitness, not that JV isn't fit, but MW is superfit!! I think JV would respect MW's no bull$hit attitude and hard work and they could gel. JV won't do to MW what he tried to do with JB, and I think they could be a very very strong pair if given a fast car.

and also JV and MW willget along because there will not be a second rate team mate that always comes up and asks of help and an autograph.
