i think i've heard it all now:

"VILLENEUVE to USA Management"

Speculation has been rife in recent months on Jacques Villeneuve's return to a test role, F1 drive, team manager etc etc etc.

Well today it was revealed in an exclusive interview with Speed Live Magazine from Detroit that Jacques has been given the role to form and run the USA F1 TEAM FOR 2005.

Red Bull deny any involvement, and today Jacques spoke on the plans to take up the vacant eleventh team licence left vacant but not cancelled when Arrows was made insolvent, but never withdrew its position. Tom Walkinshaw said he had no idea of the licence ever being withdrawn, and has been linked to a return with Villeneuve and one major US confectionary company.

We expect a press conference will be called for the world media before the French Grand Prix.

I've said it time and time again, Williams just need to drop Ralf and get JV and DC. Who's number one I don't care.

:twisted: All these damn rumours!!!!!!!!! :wink: Don't believe a word of it, besides, it's a bit late to be running April Fools Jokes isn't it?? Besides, JV himself said that when he's done racing, he'll leave the sport altogether, which I believe.

As for JV to Williams, I think Jacques is done with F1 Numerous websites are claiming Williams insiders don't want Jacques as he's too 'political', which is a total lack of BS. Yes, JV has a big mouth and talks a hell of a lot, but on most occasions, what he says is valid to a certain degree and he always backs up his statements. If this is so, F1 is nothing but a joke, and if indeed FW himself wants Jacques to drive for him, he should have the ultimate say, and if it fails it fails, but boy, if Jacques succeeds......it's ironic that dirty politics could see Jacques permanently gone from F1, when he's accused to being too 'political', what a joke F1 is.

I don't know what to believe anymore, but there doesn't seem to be anything positive on the horizon, so it may be au revoir to F1 for me at the end of the year...the only thing keeping me interested is the potential for a drive for JV next year really as pretty much all the other drivers and teams don't have much interest to me.

JV and DC will definately go to Williams if anything. If I had any money, I'd put down $50 on those two going to Williams.

If Jacques does get a Williams seat, he'll have Webber as a teammate, I'm pretty sure of that. Im certain Webber has a seat, it's a battle between JV/DC/GF for the other seat in my opinion.
