Apparently webber has told Flavio that he is not interested in going to renault and being second fiddle behind alonso and that he is keen on williams, he has apparently knocked back a large offer from toyota as he wants to win races and get on podiums and thinks that williams is his best option, I think it is by far the best option as they have the facilities and the cash to produce a race winning car. This year has not been a good year fro williams and hopefully next year with be a better one with a dedicated driver line up.

i don't think webber would play second fiddle to alonso...look at monaco this year trulli was beating him and wasn't told to let him through or anything....unlike what a certain red team would do.

I like most people am excited of the prospect that WEBBER will be going to a competitive outfit. I am interested in peoples comments in relation to him going to WILLIAMS which it appears would be most peoples first choice! Could someone explaine to me why this is so? WILLIAMS would be the first to concede that they have underperformed this 2004 year with who people regard as the second best driver in F1 (Montoya). They have had a change with HEAD stepping aside and MICHAEL taking up his position and MONTOYA going to McLaren. WILLIAMS himself beleive that it may be time for him to step aside. BMW have also been rumbling that they have not been happy with this years performances. On the other hand Toyota has a huge budget and with all Japanese companies are determined to succeed at whatever cost and Renault have had some success also this year. I just cannot see that WILLIAMS is so far in front of the others as a first choice. I may be proven wrong and I hope that I am.

Renault might actually be the better option as Williams have become stagnated in recent times and if anything, have lost ground to Ferrari and McLaren (and now BAR) over the course of about a seven year decline

After thinking about it Reno might not be as good as i think and toyota might be better then i think....williams is a 50/50 chance to work i fell.

see reno lost mike gascoyne (spelling?) and to my understanding he played a big part in the team moving up in the last few. He has gone to toyota so perhaps he will do the same there? therefore reno wouldn't be as good to go to and toyota wouldn't look to shabby all of a sudden.

If Mike Gascoyne is the difference between victory and defeat or some kind of technical genius why hasn
