It appears as if rumours about Jaguar's F1 future being on the line could be true. However, instead of parent company Ford scrapping the F1 project altogether, they are believed to be keen on taking it over.

According to the latest rumours in the paddock, Ford are considering running their F1 team under their own Ford branding rather than Jaguar's as they attempt to bolster sales. The American company is thought to want to target the European market as well as the relatively untapped markets in China and India.

There is also a strong view at Ford that if the company is going to spend millions on an F1 project, they should be the ones to benefit from it instead of Jaguar.

Should the change take place, not only will the Leaping Cat be replaced by the Ford logo but the cars will also change colour, from British Racing Green to blue.

There are more rumours on various websites that say that Jaguar will shortly become Ford F1. Some even say we might know within the next week or so...

Well, if it happens then good for F-1. High time that team produced results. Wonder what Mark Webber will think now. No regrets, probably.

Is there any truth in the story about Ford bringing in a multi million dollar Chinese sponsor??

Not sure about the chinese sponsor. However what I did hear was that the rumours about Ford/Jag next year were not sourced from within either of these organisatios. Lets just say, one of their current dissafected customers were passing on some information they recieved when discussing 05 engine contracts.

Looks like the gamble of using this tactic, not unlike one of their engines, is now going to blow up in fords face.
