DC 'NOT IN RED BULL'S PLANS'

Last Updated: Monday, 22, November, 2004, 16:47

There something significant about this picture. When JV tested for Renault he had to wear white overalls. Webber even though guaranteed a drive with Williams is currently wearing white overalls. Ralf is also wearing the whites. So why is Luizzi in teams colors only for a test? Clearly he's signed on already either as a test driver #2 or #3.

That's my point. It appears Luizzi has already signed with Red Bull. DC was never in with a real chance at Red Bull. The owner said he wasn't the least bit interested in him anyway. Whatever happened between DC and JAG has not carried over to RB.

The other mentioned drivers have been released from their team contracts but not the related sponsorship contracts, that is the reason for the 'whites'. Luizzi has long been supported by Red Bull so has no sponsorship clashes to worry about.
