Pantano Chases Minardi Drive

Giorgio Pantano is the latest driver to throw his cap into the ring for a Minardi seat.

The Italian expressed an interest in joining Minardi just 24 hours after Renault tester Franck Montagny said he was in talks with the team.

Pantano, who parted with Jordan acrimoniously before the end of the season, believes Minardi would offer the ideal opportunity for him to restore his reputation.

He said:"I think I still have plenty to show, something I never got the chance to do at Jordan.
