Senna 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2005 BRUNO JUNQUEIRA WIN MONTERREY GRAND PRIX PacifiCare driver Bruno Junqueira won the Tecate/Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix from the fifth starting position after a record number of yellows slows the pace. Nine caution periods made for an exciting race as rookie Andrew Ranger became the first freshman to make it to the podium in Monterrey. Fellow Canadian Alex Tagliani also made the podium marking the first time a Walker/Team Australia driver has ascended to the podium since Darren Manning in 2003. Sophomore Justin Wilson finished fourth and Sebastien Bourdais finished fifth.
nojvnof1 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2005 Andrew Ranger P2!!!! Yeah baby!!! Very stop start race I have to say. I thought Seb's move on PT was overly optimistic and why he ranted on and blamed PT for the incident after the race I don't know. Wilson once again drove a faultless race, and only lost out due to a delay in the pits, otherwise he'd have been on the podium.
