RUBENS BEATS MASSA IN BRAZIL

Rubens Barrichello put one over on his Ferrari replacement Felipe Massa when he won the annual 500-mile Granja Viano kart race in Sao Paulo last weekend.

The race always attracts star names from the US and South America and Honda's latest signing was once again joined in his team by other star names from the Japanese stable such as Tony Kanaan, Dan Wheldon and Moto GP veteran Alex Barros.

Massa broke the lap record to take pole for the event but accident damage in the rain-hit event delayed his team to fourth overall.

For the record, Barrichello's squad completed 615 laps in 12 hours en route to victory after the weather caused a time limit to be brought into effect.

Rubens, who has won the race twice before in 2001 and 2004, starred and forced his way through the field after his team dropped a lap off the pace halfway through.
