Alright now I don't want to go off on a rant,

and Lord knows this has been beaten to death but,

if Michlin is so pure hows it that they were able to

come up with 'new spec. tires so fast both for testing

although they claim just a cpl. of sets

That point, about using different tyres and doing so so quickly is a point I hace been making when people have asked me of my opinion on the issue.

And also ignoring the aspects of if it is actually possible, the idea is what matters. I like what Jean Todt said along the line of, if we had a 3 litre engine at the start of the race that became a 3.5 litre one after the start, do you think the other teams would leave it be.

Good point pumpdoc! I hadn't even thought of that.. if something nice and big happens regarding tyres I will have to mention something of it in the next Wrap..

It could most certainly be done. Certainly the newest Michelin's weren't shabby at all in Monza, so it could point towards the conspiracy. But then also Michelin could also just have been really quick at making a really grippy tyre

Todt mentioned the 3 litre to 3.5 litre change during the race !!!

I wonder if he has thought of doing that ????

I wonder how you could do that... maybe you could make the top of the piston out of a material that disintegrates as the engine revs. Would be an interesting concept...

Michelin had been working on these tyres for some time...since before monaco i believe.... because they thought that bridgestone were cheating with the tyres they had because they were so slim yet lasted just as long as theirs, and they approached the FIA about it also. So i figure they started trying to follow suit then and they had to rush it alil in the end but they got it there.
