CROWDS down at F1 races

wow I cant believe it that someone has actually stated that crowds are down at F1 races, even the Tiffosi did not turn out in their numbers at monza!!! I WONDER WHY..

I have a feeling it's because of the GREED of Bernie,moneygrabber, Eclestone. Like how many zillions does he want/need?

IF F1 is to succeed there needs to be ( in my humble opinion) a curtailment on the costs associated with staging a Grand Prix, or F1 will become like the OLYMPICS where each country tries to out do the previous country only to end up with HUGE financial debts after the event...

Like whatever is the problem with the family bringing their own lunch and beverages to watch a race?.. none at all except the organisers dont get to rip you off !!!!!!!

2 races are to be dropped for next year, one of those 2 had a sell-out this year. Montreal, and despite the Sars, this has nothing to do with the possability of it being the final Canadian GP either, as such news hadn't broken at the time of the race.

What is Bernies logic, drop a sell-out event. Mind you he make most of his money from the TV, so I suppose that he doesn't mind if 'event' numbers are down.

There are rumours that Canada may regain its spot for next year, and F1 would race an 18-race calendar. That race sells out every year, and none of the teams are happy about the race being dropped as it is one of the major sources of revenue and advertising for them..

One must not forget that the only money that

the event orgs. get to keep is from tix sales B.E. Gets

all the rest plus a huge fee from the host for the

"prievlge to stage a GP, thats why tix prices have gone

thru the roof ,and you are so right about the food etc.

used to be you could bring in all the refreshments

that you could carry no more, hell they get 2.50-4.00$ for

a 16oz. water!!!no profit there. Back in the day oh

about 30 yrs ago they used to have .25 cent beer

nites at the baseball games 12oz. 6max per visit

per person if you could drink them fast enough you

could knock back 12-18 of them before they cut off

sales in the 8th inning it was wild!!!!
