No changes to 3rd car new rule

:shock: After a new meeting to discuss this new rule, Fia has decided that the rule will remain the same with no changes.

For 2004 the bottom 6 teams will be allowed to drive a 3rd car with an unexperienced driver.

Sauber and Jordan had asked for this new rule to be cancelled.

McLaren and Williams didnt want this new rule as they alledge that these bottom 6 teams will benefit.

Sauber owner - Peter Sauber - calls it a joke

As a result Justin Wilson and Allan Mcnish will not be able to participate as they both have more then 6 months experience. :twisted: :evil: :twisted: :evil:

The rule is a joke. Experienced drivers such as Villeneuve, Wilson, Heidfeld etc are out of the running to keep their careers alive by becoming a third driver for a team because of this. It's a disgrace and another example of how F1's standards are plummeting.

I really do not think this rule is keeping with F1 tradition, in a way far more extreme than any other rule that has been adopted.
