Antonio Pizzonia has launched a scathing attack on his former Jaguar team.

The Brazilian, who replaces third driver Marc Gene at Williams this weekend, says he was treated appallingly by his former employers.

The 23-year-old was dropped mid-way through the 2003 season and replaced by Minardi's Justin Wilson.

Pizzonia had failed to match his team-mate mark Webber's pace, but he says they put too much pressure on him to perform and reckons they even gave him a different car to drive than the Australian.

When asked to compare his current team with the Big Cat, he said: "The treatment is totally different. The way they [Jaguar] used to treat me there was like s***, to be honest.

"Here it is a different world. I feel not only respected as a racing driver but as a human being. I think last year was probably putting too much pressure on me and after I left I found out a lot of things that I didn't know about the team and the car.

"I found out things that I didn't have on the car and that the other driver had. We didn't have the same treatment.

"Basically they didn't have a lot of money, and I think they still don't, and it's a lot easier to develop one car quicker than trying to develop both at the same time.

"I used to get parts one or two races later...some of them I knew about but most I didn't."

Jaguar's managing director Dave Pitchforth and Webber have both denied Pizzonia's comments.

Pitchforth said: "The drivers have equal cars today, just as they did before and always will have while I am in charge.

"Both drivers have absolutely equal parts. If we can only make one of something then we won't bring it to the circuit. I can absolutely categorically deny that there was any favouritism.

"There's a lot of hard working people at Jaguar that will be very hurt by these comments."

Pizzonia wants to put his experience behind him now though and concentrate on securing a solid result this weekend.

He said: "I feel quite relaxed to be honest and very confident and I'm sure I'll be doing a good job here. I know this car really well, I did a lot of mileage in the car, I know the team really well. I think that's going to be the biggest difference for sure. And the car is obviously better than what I was driving last year."

why whould Jag give Webber better equipment over Kilne. Kline brings money to the team so why dont they give kline better equipment over Webber. and Webber did not get a better Engine in USA than Kline in France both Webber and KLine used a new engine from Ford.

why whould Jag give Webber better equipment over Kilne. Kline brings money to the team so why dont they give kline better equipment over Webber. and Webber did not get a better Engine in USA than Kline in France both Webber and KLine used a new engine from Ford.

Webber is probably better than Klien so they focus on him to maximize their chances of scoring points

oh it will be sweet when webber cruises past pizzaboy either to lap or pass him.....what a joke, he is saying this so people will think oh maybe he isn't that bad of a driver....but i still sure he can't handle racing...he is and probly always will be a test driver. nothing more.

No driver is favoured this year or any year with regards to car spec at Jaguar Racing.

But sometimes there just isn't enough time or manpower to make new parts in time for both race cars, as races are now so close together.But it is only common sence if you only have enough parts for one car to put it on the best drivers car.But you can be sure both cars will be the same the race after.

With regard to pizza boy,He is just a crap racing driver as we will see Sunday.But he is a very good test driver.The best thing he can do to help himself is ditch his manager..

So if you only had enough part for one car who's car would you put them on then?

Obviously I
