:o:o Well well well that was absolutely superb.:lol::lol: It reminds me of the Cricket World Cup in 1999 hosted in England.

Here is a sample question that was asked to the Irish when a match was held there.

Who do you think will win the World Cup?

Answer: Ireland.

Boy! They don't play cricket. Bet the fellow did'nt know what was going on!!!!

I think China is quite new to f1 and they probably don't care too much or maybe aware of the supremacy of Schumacher. Chinese are extremely supportive of their own country and people...they won't care if they know the sport or not seats will be filled and seeing how the city alone has soo many people, 200,000 isn't all that much.

Very funny article, their information supply is restricted by the government, so they wouldn't know too much. Still can't believe that Schumi shoved that camera away from him after his Ferrari gave up.

I am from the UK. I live in China, and have done for a few years. I can tell everyone that the chinese are aware and do surport F1 a great deal.

I live in a place called Chongqing and many students who I teach surport MS, they also know alot about him and the whole sport.

Don't think China knows nothing about things outside China, because that is so wrong, the Chinese are great and very knowledgeable people. For me the people in america know less about F1

nah...to expect the whole of 1.3 billion people to all know F1 well is a little too optmistic.... it just happens that people you know know F1. And Chong Qing is a quite well developed city, people have higher standards of living and can afford to watch sport. And I agree with you that F1 is less popular at US.

It might be less popular in the US, but to those that it is popular to, like myself, we know a hell of a lot about it.You want to make a kind of trivia here of general F1 knowledge? Pumpdoc and me could take it most likely.
