Silverstone is a decent track and has a long history in F1 and i think it needs to be on the calander so its not just the Brits who think it should stay...

Come on Sato,

Silverstone is a good track, I think that Monaco its bad for racing in this days but just because its a Classic race (and because a lot of money its rounding this place)

stays in the calendar.

I like Silverstone and Brits deserve their race, what else?

I read too that maybe Mansell will help in a sort of remodelation of the track.

------------

GO SILVERSTONE!

The reason monaco is around is the money ;)

Anyway im not saying don't have a british GP. I'd just prefer it not to be at silverstone.

thats a good point, there is no talk of monaco being dropped and they have cramped pit area with no amenities for the teams and a race track that is too narrow for modern F1 cars...

still, i lok forward to that race every year, even when I know there will be next to no overtaking...

Make Monaco wider, as soon as someone gets to the first turn, barring pit stop strategy or mechanical or accident, he wins.

I do not think Silverstone is the best track in the world of F1. In my opinion, Suzuka is the best track currently used in F1. However, Silverstone does produce excellent races and is certainly amongst the very best at producing a racing spectacle for both trackside fans and television audiences. Further more, it is an historic venue which has not left the calendar since F1

its a big motorsport event in Australia every october. Its an event at which V8 supercars drive 1000 Km, its sort of like a le mans for Australia i guess. they do 161 laps of the track they call "Bathurst" its up and down quite a steep hill and many cars don't make it to the finish due to the harsh track.

its the Aussie version of Spa Francorchamps, its a demon track and like Spa, only the greats win at Bathurst!! 161 laps, roughly 6 and a half hours of racing, 2 drivers to one car, its getting very big in Europe with many European touring car drivers coming down ie. Plato, Menu, Priaulx etc.

exactly its surrounded by water and hotels shops etc.

Ah but there is a solution. For the first part build the track higher and have a small area of the track going above any buildings below...The back area near Tabac and la piscine just need more land from the harbor.
