There R only a few, not even double figures - constructors/PU 
In the V8 era, there WERE more options.
The turbo hybrid era, road car relevant to encourage MORE.
Cosworth for example. 
Imagine the publicity for beating/braking the BIG 3 (Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda).
Even if it IS just, for 1 race
Mclaren powered by Renault R the closest. Best of the rest, a nice title 2 have. 
But WHO R the rest ??
After the BIG 3, is there really ANY competition.
(Ferrari, Mercedes & Honda)
Renault then rounds up the midfield.
With the works sister teams.
Red Bull Honda, NOT being the works Honda.
