imtechman

the ultimate team

Is this hypothetical or true?

Anyway, your only choice is to buy out an existing team as F1 is now limited to 12 teams and Toyota has filled the last spot.

Of course you will need the right staff to manage the team and design a good car etc, coupled with capable drivers and a decent engine. If money is no object then you should be able to buy a middle team and poach some high end staff and secure a good engine deal.

Of course BAR/Jaguar etc tried that and they havent set the world on fire yet so I guess the all elusive 'X' factor comes into play...

Good luck!

First things first, you need to spend a few million dollars hiring me to run your team.

The Prost team are in a little bit of trouble at the moment, and apparently have only 4 weeks to live.

You could be their lifeline, you take me in to give Prost's arse a good kicking. Use him as a front man for PR purposes, because he's not really a very good team boss.

You already have a team set up for you, with a supply of Ferrari engines while you woo Volkswagen or General Motors.

You relocate the Prost team to England. because having the team in France is an incredibly stupid idea and you set about bringing in unknown drivers with lots of talent and building up your design department instead.

The first step you should do is hire me and let me do the tech stuff, I can get you mechanics from Ferrari and may be even Adrian Newey and Ross Brawn too. hee hee... :D , how about a Rolls Royce Turbofan for your Formula1 Car? May be even F-16 delta wings for that extra aerodynamic efficiency. :D haa...haa...I cracked myself up:D

All replies are still welcome:Dhaa...haa...haa... :D

You should DEFINITELY try to snatch up those gentlemen behind the Honda Civic, they will build you one #### of a chassis, probably capable enough to keep your car on the road without bigger problems.

As for engine power, I would talk to RiceBurner Inc. of Hondacivicville, Japan.

Then, as for sponsors, I would have your engine supplier be your main sponsor so you will be able to sport the copyrighted "Rice Burner Inside" stickers. You would also need other Riceboi stickers on your car, such as "NoS" "SiR" and of course "Tapout Racing" which is the name of your team.

As for drivers, I would bring in Hajosiko Toyotasi of the San Jose street racing league, and another driver of Hajosiko's choice. Mechanics would be supplied to you from the Hunterstown High School Auto Shop class, who will likely be able to custom-lower your car to a ride height of 0.000001cm and add the world BIGGEST spoiler (rear wing) on the end.

With that said, make sure the engine you get from "Rice Burner Inc." is not too powerful, as your car may just take off into the air with such a wing combined with such power.

As for your website, you will likely be getting enough coverage from http://www.riceboypage.com/ to not need to spend money on hiring a webmaster.

Wow! So are you actually building a team? I am really into designing F1 cars I did a huge project for fun over the summer in 1999 with my mate. I would completely go for it, imtechman.

People, do not be stupid. This guy is not for real. The limit of F1 teams is 12, and that will be full in 2002. He is just messing with our heads, this is how those rumours start that you all read about on websites.

Of course it isn't real - if you had that much money Bernie Ecclestone would already have asked if you'd be interested in F1!

But what with Prost going under any day now there will probably an extra grid slot!

I doubt the dude is for real, but I am sure we all think we could do a better job if it was up to us. :)

Anyone know of any good F1 Management Sims?

Uhh theres plenty of them. I think some are downloadable from online but im not sure. I have an old game from like 1995 called Grand Prix Manager, it was cool until I actually found the games where you could drive the car yourself...

Yeah, I love the racing games too, but I also love the management sims.

I have played Grand Prix Manager 1 and 2 and Grand Prix World, but i just discovered a new one is in the works that should be out soon called Formula 1 Championship Manager ( http://www.f1-team.co.uk ) and it sounds pretty good.

Do you know where I could find these one you think may be downloadable from?
