Yes. Sato had 2 crashes this season, its hardly alot. many drivers had 2 or more crashes such as NK. So according to you any driver who has 2 or more crashes during a season should be baned from F1. Sato may have the occasional accident but no more than several other drivers and unlike other drivers Sato's accidents have never resulted in the death of marshalls.

Senna, i'm not defending sato at at all. But what you did with the photos is very easy to do.. I can do the same with RS. Look back at the numberous accidents RS caused in his first three years. I can find as many examples as sato. Ralph was also dangerous in his first three years, particularily so in his 1st two years in F1. he started to settle down in his thrird year. Brake testing JV at 180 mph is just one example that almost got a driver killed. RS has matured now but he didn't belong in F1 in the beginning. If sato doesant belong in f1 of which I tend to agree, he will be gone in due time. Once you get ostrasized by the teams and drivers, it's ccurtains. If he doesant shape up it's just a matter of time.

I've heard all kinds of things said by angry f1 drivers moments after they've been taken out of a race, surely you have too. After Canada 98 MS accused Damon Hill of trying to kill him. He also accused DC of trying to kill him at spa the same year. Perhaps you think DC and Hill should have been banned from the sport? Of course not. I also remember after Imola 04 Alonso said that Ralf enjoys crashing into people. In the heat of the moment drivers exaggerate, understandably, as they're angry.

To dismiss what drivers say because they may have been angry is ridiculous and complacent. Many times what they say is correct. MS obviously wasn't seriously accusing people of trying to murder him - he was just exagerating to show how dangerous he felt the actions were and he was absolutely correct on both occaisions. Furthermore his exact words to Sato were "We've talked to him about it in the past.[ie when all the drivers were calm] I don't know what sort of therapy might help him." so he would have to be lying (about something all drivers would know about) for your interpretation to hold.

There are so many frigin chicanes added to the great and historical tracks to slow the drivers down and take away the real dangers it is sickening in my view. Monza is a prime example.

This is a fine argument for eliminating the most reckless drivers so that the talented ones can go racing on proper circuits without worrying about being hit by someone like Sato.

The truth is that Sato is now a marked man an will be watched closely by the FIA in the coming year. If he continues his ways, like I've said before they will rachet-up their dicipline of him that will include suspensions. My guess is Sato will always to some extent be a problem driver but will eventually settle down if he wants to continue in the sport.

So you agree that if he continues like this he should eventually be banned?

ANY driver runs the risk of killing marshalls on the track, not JUST Sato.

When they drive as kamikaze as Mr Sato appears to do so, then yes.
