Indeed. At least in 2006 they will use the same (specification) engine.

Indeed, not like the past deals with Prost and Sauber(pre-'04) where they had the previous spec engine not the current spec......

Indeed. No more hand-me-downs for the resident Ferrari B-Team. Well, this is certainly true in 2006 but I think that

Well I think once Bridgestone sort their tyres out Ferrari will be quick. So Red Bull wont have a chance but its good for them to aim high. I think a good goal is to beat Toyota and BAR to the first win.

Starting in '04 with the one engine rule Ferrari had to give Sauber the same spec engines.........and Sauber ran the Ferrari trans that year but not in '05..............

I wonder if running their own transmission helped to their downfall. Oh, Later in the 2001 season they got Melbourne spec engines from that year, so they did have the current spec engine.

Hmm, i think they might spring a few surprises again this year but nothing like last year. This is a period of restructuring for RBR. Newey will be keen to get his feet under the table and see what needs to be done. They will have to adjust to new rubber and i expect will be inexperienced at coping with such radical rule changes.

As far as beating Ferrari goes, i would be amazed if that happens. They are making nice steady progress at the moment and Horner is handling the task with a maturity that belies his years. I hope that these sort of statements aren't the beginning of them getting a little too confident too quickly.

Mind you, remember Horner did comment on beating the Ferrari's last season as well. So I wouldnt be surprised, with DC and Klien used to the "Team rules" as it were, I wouldnt count on the Ferrari's being that much quicker if any quicker..Especially as RBR now have Adrian Newey, which will help a great deal,as he has vast experience.
